Zhijun Sun, L.M.S.W.
Mr. Sun is a licensed master social worker specializing in outpatient community mental health services and Asian-American mental health services.
He provides diagnostic and treatment assessment for a wide range of mental illness, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment and psychotic disorders. Mr. Sun also provides individual therapy for patients of all ages. He works collaboratively with the medical and psychiatric teams to enhance care for his patients.
Mr. Sun provides a safe environment for his patients while employing a patient-centered approach. He practices the integrated model of different therapeutic orientations. Particularly, he focuses on facilitation of clinical insights within psychotherapy to further create a transformative experience for each patient. This nonjudgmental, individualized perspective inspired Mr. Sun to lead a Shanghai-based video project that addressed the stigma faced by people with mental illness within Chinese society.
When Mr. Sun is not working, he enjoys song-writing, videography, watching comedies, and playing golf.
