Easter Chiu, MD
Dr. Chiu is a physician specializing in Pediatrics with over 20 years of experience.
She provides primary care to patients up to 21 years of age, including regular checkups, well-child visits, and immunizations. Dr. Chiu also provides health education, referrals, and care coordination with specialists.
Dr. Chiu has deep experience in community-based settings caring for multi-cultural and economically varied patients and their families. She believes that in patient-doctor relationships, teaching and learning is mutual and a partnership is built for healing.
Dr. Chiu is a member of the Research and Education Committee for the Advocate Children’s Hospital Narrative Medicine Group. Using tools of Narrative Medicine, the group has demonstrated that stories can heal, reduce stress, and optimize communication between health care practitioners and their patients/families.
In her free time, Dr. Chiu practices yoga and tai chi, enjoys long walks with her cockapoo, and reads with her owlish book club.
