The Chinatown Health Clinic Foundation invites you to its 2026 Gala Dinner in support of the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center's vital programs and services. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting community-based health care.

The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30. The dress code is cocktail attire.

This year, we honor Lynn D. Sherman for her remarkable 30-year commitment to the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center and the Chinatown Health Clinic Foundation, a legacy that has profoundly shaped our mission and vision. As the financial leader, Lynn has grown the Health Center from an organization with less than $5 million in revenues to over $90 million per year. She has also directed the IT strategy and development, positioning the Health Center as an innovation leader. In her most recent role as Executive Vice President of Finance, IT, Capital Projects, and Human Resources, Lynn oversaw the planning and construction of “Healthview” (131-72 40th Road in Flushing, Queens), the Health Center’s newest facility. This state-of-the-art, environmentally sustainable building now serves as a vital primary care access point for the community, delivering medical, dental, vision, mental health, and patient support services.

Since 1999, Lynn has also served as a Board Member of Affinity Health Plan, now Affinity Legacy. As Treasurer of the Board, she has been a steadfast advocate for medically underserved populations, securing and stewarding critical funding for community-based health organizations across the region.

We are also delighted to honor the entire Board of Affinity for its enduring dedication to advancing health equity and improving the well-being of underserved communities.

In addition, the evening will feature a special performance by acclaimed Chinese American soprano Veronica Mak. Committed to amplifying underrepresented voices, Veronica bridges classical tradition and the future of vocal music through innovative recitals and expressive storytelling. Her recent season is highlighted by notable debuts with Amore Opera and Ghostlight Chorus, alongside featured solo performances in major concert works.
