Sandra Cordoba Vargas, MD

Dr. Vargas is an internal medicine physician at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center.

She provides comprehensive care for adults, from diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions to offering preventive services such as annual exams and immunizations. Dr. Vargas also coordinates care with specialists and focuses on empowering patients through education to manage their health effectively.

Dr. Vargas believes in caring for the whole person by actively listening to and understanding each patient’s concerns. She strives to treat patients with compassion, respect, and without judgement while practicing evidence-based medicine. Patient education also plays an important role in her approach to care as she is committed to helping patients understand their medical conditions and treatment options, encouraging them to take an active role in their health.

Outside of work, Dr. Vargas enjoys spending time in prayer, being with family and friends, appreciating nature, and reading.
